Our degree. Your schedule. At the University of Washington College of Education, you can earn an Early Care & Education degree online, allowing you the flexibility of an online program and a degree from a university you trust.

The College of Education’s Early Care & Education (ECE) major was created to support student success. ECE’s flexible model allows you to work while completing your degree, provides real-world opportunities to apply your learning, and features a student-centered teaching and advising model.

Balancing school, work, and personal responsibilities can be challenging. ECE’s faculty and student support team are committed to assisting you as you enter the program, earn your degree, and prepare for your future. Teaching and advising are student-centered, designed to help you successfully navigate the program, and achieve your goals.

Pursuing your ECE degree from the College of Education means earning a degree from the University of Washington College of Education – ranked 5th in the nation among public education schools according to the U.S. News & World Report. The ECE program features the same outstanding faculty, course curriculum, advising, and other services that on-campus students enjoy, all with a degree and diploma identical to the University of Washington’s on-campus programs.
