Dr. Caitlin McLean is Senior Research Specialist at the Center for the Study of Child Care Employment (CSCCE) at the University of California, Berkeley. She is project lead and co-author of the biennial Early Childhood Workforce Index and related research on ECE compensation initiatives and workforce data. Prior to joining CSCCE, Caitlin's research focused on comparative early care and education policy, with a special emphasis on the United States and European countries. Caitlin holds a Ph.D. in Social Policy from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Krista Olson

Krista Olson is a Research and Policy Associate at the Center for the Study of Child Care Employment (CSCCE) at the University of California, Berkeley. Krista is a co-author on the biennial Early Childhood Workforce Index. Krista's interests in education policy began early in her research career, contributing to data collection, analysis, and reporting for evaluations of an after-school program in Massachusetts and then on large-scale education and labor studies for state and federal agencies. Krista has a BA in Psychology from Wellesley College and an MA in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago.
